Hey Wild Woman! Come join Wild Women Outdoors for a special Galentine’s Day hike! Galentine’s Day (typically celebrated on the 13th of February) is recognized as a time to celebrate the love you have for the female friendships in your life! What better way to celebrate then on the trail?! Come meet new Wild Women friends, soak up time in nature and leave feeling rejuvinated and empowered! It will be a cup-filling morning that you won't want to miss! 

 

Participants will receive a fun Galentine's day gift!

Distance: Approx. 3.5 miles.

Elevation Gain: Approx. 693 ft.

This trail is rated as beginner-moderate due to distance, slight elevation gain and possible weather/trail conditions. *Yaktrax or similar are recommended. Trails maybe covered in ice and/or snow. 

 

This hike is part of our free social hike series and is not a guided hike. *By registering for this adventure you acknowledge and understand your own physical limitations and are aware of trail mileage, intensity..   • *This is a social meet up and not a guided hike. Participants are responsible for getting to/from the trail and for their personal assessment of difficulty as well as assume all risks associated with hiking with WWO and release the company for any claim of negligence or liability. Participants acknowledge they are personally responsible for being prepared for this hike with necessary items and appropriate clothing/footwear. A suggested packing list is offered but is not an exhaustive list. Participant acknowledges if they leave the group or trail for any reason that they are assuming all incurred risks.

     

    Participants EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACTIVITY. Participant agrees and understands that risks associated with the Activity include, but are not limited to: risk of injury from the activity and equipment utilized is significant including the potential for permanent disability and death, falling, causing broken bones, severe injuries to the head, neck and back which may result in severe impairment or even death, All "acts of nature," including but not limited to avalanche, rock fall, inclement weather, thunder and lighting, severe and or varied wind, temperature, and other weather conditions, risks associated with crossing, climbing or down-climbing of rock, snow, and/or ice, risks associated with river crossings, fordings, or portaging, possible equipment failure and/or malfunction of my own or others' equipment, which may have been rented, borrowed, or personally owned, my own negligence and/or the negligence of others, including employees, agents, independent contractors, ambassadors or representatives of Wild Women Outdoors, LLC including but not limited to operator failure, cold weather and heat related injuries and illness including but not limited to frostnip, frostbite, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, sunburn, hypothermia and dehydration, attack by or encounter with insects, reptiles, and/or animals, accidents or illness occurring in remote places where there are no available medical facilities, fatigue, chill, and/or dizziness, which may diminish my/our reaction time and increase the risk of accident, my sense of balance, physical coordination, and ability to follow instructions.

     

    Participants understands the description of these risks is not complete and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury, illness, disability or death.

     

    • IN CONSIDERATION FOR BEING ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITY, PARTICIPANT AGREES TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST AND TO HOLD HARMLESS, RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND AGREE NOT TO SUE Wild Women Outdoors, LLC, all of their affiliated companies and subsidiaries, their respective insurance companies, successors in interest, commercial and corporate sponsors, agents, employees, representatives, assignees, officers, directors, ambassadors, and volunteers (each a “Released Party”) FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY and/or claims for INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property arising from participation in the Activity, INCLUDING THOSE INJURIES AND DAMAGES CAUSED BY ANY RELEASED PARTY’S ALLEGED OR ACTUAL NEGLIGENCE (including to take reasonable steps to protect against the risks of the Activity) OR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY. I AGREE TO PAY ALL COSTS AND ATTORNEY’S FEES INCURRED BY ANY RELEASED PARTY IN DEFENDING A CLAIM OR SUIT BROUGHT AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY.

    WIth registration of this adventure the participant agrees to the above.
